Year 5 have been busy getting creative and learning some fantastic new skills as part of our Spudtacular potato project!
We explored how to write a procedural text, learning how to explain a process clearly and in the correct order. We thought carefully about the ingredients, equipment and step-by-step instructions needed to bake the perfect jacket potato. We practised using imperative verbs, time connectives and clear instructions to help our readers follow each step.
We then got creative by designing and decorating our very own Spudtacular boxes! 🌟 The children used their imaginations to create colourful, eye-catching designs to make their boxes extra special.
It was wonderful to see everyone combining their writing skills, creativity and teamwork throughout the project. We are so proud of the enthusiasm and effort Year 5 put into making their work truly spud-tacular!
Thank you to our lovely Miss Sonja and all of the kitchen staff who make these experiences possible.
Well done, Year 5! 🥔👏
