Year 5 had a wonderful morning taking part in Dan and Emily’s ‘Walk With Mary’ pilgrimage hosted by Holy Family at their beautiful church. The morning was a great opportunity for our children to come together with our Catholic community and reflect on the life and faith of Mary.
Dan and Emily from OneLife Music lead us in prayer and song throughout the pilgrimage and the children enthusiastically sang hymns, offered up their own prayer petitions, participated in games and prayed together; bringing their hopes, worries and thanksgivings before God.
It was particularly special to see our Year 5 children alongside children from other Catholic schools in the city reminding us that, although we are part of individual school communities, we are also part of one wider family of faith.
The children represented our school beautifully and took part with enthusiasm, reverence and joy. It was a memorable morning of faith, prayer, music and community, and a wonderful way for Year 5 to walk together with Mary and with our fellow Catholic schools.
