Year Six were lucky enough to receive a visit from Warwick Chemistry Society to take part in a workshop all about chemistry this afternoon!
One of the stations involved mixing a base (bicardinate soda) with an acid (vinegar) and observing the reaction it made – ask us what we found out!
Another involved milk and food colouring to make some art in a petri dish – it was fascinating to see what happened and learn why – ask us all about it!
The last station allowed children to explore the interesting world of oobleck! Is it a solid? Is it a liquid? Why?
Thank you to everyone from Wariwck Chem Soc for getting our brains thinking!
